X40 Service Disruption 07/05/2024

We are currently experiencing disruption on our X40 service and as a result, the 15:15 departure from Reading Town Centre towards Oxford has not been able to operate. This service will resume from Woodcote, Co-op at 15:46.

James Street West STOP CLOSURE

River Rapids X40
Due to electrical works taking place on Iffley Road, the James Street West stop will be suspended between the 7th and 10th May, in both directions. Temporary stops will be placed in close proximity. Temporary traffic lights will also be in operation each day between 07:00 and 19:00 and as a result, we are expecting disruption in the area.
Stowford Road, Barton bus stop SUSPENDED

Due to Thames Water works taking place on Stowford Road in Barton, the road will be closed from 29th April until 19th May 2024. As a result, the Stowford Road stop will be suspended for the duration of the works. Our city8 buses will be on diversion via Burchester Avenue/Northway/ Bayswater Road. A temporary bus stop will be located on Bayswater Road.
Temporary Stop Suspension Osney Island
Due to Thames Water works on Botley Road, the Osney Island stop towards the City Centre will be suspended until further notice.
A temporary stop will be in place just before the pedestrian lights, and signs stating where will be published in the area.
Sadler Building Stop SUSPENDED
Due to roadworks, the Sadler Building stop will be suspended. No temporary stop will be provided due to location, the closest alternative stop will be Magdalen Centre.
Botley Road CLOSURE
Until the end of October 2024, the section of Botley Road that passes underneath the rail bridge near Oxford Rail Station will be closed to motor vehicle traffic, including buses. The following services are affected by the bridge closure: BROOKESbus400/U1, city3B, city4A, connector 33 and Thames Travel 63/63S. Full details can be found using the link below.

Neunkirchen Way and Seelscheid Way, Bicester ROAD CLOSURE

Due to resurfacing works on Neunkirchen Way in Bicester, the road will be closed from the 8th May to 10th May between 05:00 and 18:00 each day. Buses are permitted through the closure so the route will not be directly affected, however, we may experience some disruption in the area.
Closure of M25 motorway: 10th to 13th May

The M25 motorway will be closed between junctions 9 and 10 from 9pm Friday 10th to 6am Monday 13th May 2024. As our Airline service to Gatwick ordinarily uses this section of the motorway, it will need to take a lengthy diversion in order to get to and from the airport. Whilst it’s not possible to give exact estimates, we expect delays to be a minimum of 1 hour both to and from the airport, so we strongly suggest our customers allow extra time for their journey.
In order to minimise the impact on our customers, we’re implementing a temporary timetable which can be found using the link below. Whilst this would not directly affect our route to Heathrow we would recommend that all passengers allow more time for their journeys as we will be doing what we can on the day to manage the ensuing delays.

Field Gardens, Steventon STOP SUSPENSION
Due to Thames Water works on Abingdon Road in Steventon, the Field Gardens stops will be suspended from the 13th May to the 15th May, in both directions. Temporary stops will be provided by the contractors in close proximity.
