Oxford Bus Group announce new apprentice intake opportunities

To mark National Apprenticeship Week Oxford Bus Group has announced it will recruit five new apprentices this year, as part of its commitment to encourage people to kick-start careers in the bus and coach sector.
Oxford Bus Group has confirmed it will expand its apprenticeship intake this year with a focus on vehicle mechanic and electrician roles.
For its September intake it will recruit five vehicle mechanic / electrician roles in total across Oxford Bus Company, Thames Travel, Carousel Buses and Pulhams Coaches. And in a further boost Pulhams Coaches will also recruit for a trainee body maker who would be funded to undertake a level 3 NVQ qualification at its body shop near Chipping Campden.
The apprenticeship opportunities will be open to new joiners and to existing colleagues who would like to upskill or re-train.
Full details of the apprenticeship opportunities will be shared on the company websites soon. Oxford Bus Group comprises of Oxford Bus Company, Thames Travel, Carousel Buses, Pulhams Coaches and City Sightseeing Oxford and is owned by the Go-Ahead Group.
Go-Ahead Group was named in 2023 as the fifth top apprenticeship employer in the UK in a ranking backed by the Department for Education, and as the leading apprenticeship provider in the transport and travel industry.

Mercedes Goodhall is currently on a three-year engineering apprenticeship at Oxford Bus Company.
