City Sightseeing Oxford is offering a Mother’s Day special 2-for-1 sightseeing tour exclusively for Oxford locals.
On Mother's Day, Sunday 30th March 2025, residents of OX1, OX2, OX3 and OX4 postcodes can explore Oxford’s stunning landmarks, historic streets, and hidden gems - while only paying for one ticket.
You and your mum can enjoy breathtaking views from the top deck of the open-top bus while learning fascinating facts about our city with expert-guided commentary.
Stops include iconic landmarks including the Bodleian Library, Christ Church and the Ashmolean Museum.
Why not take a break to enjoy a celebration meal or a classic afternoon tea with some bubbly at one of the city’s fantastic restaurants and hotels and then re-join the tour at your leisure? The hop-on hop-off tour allows you and Mum to explore Oxford at your own pace.
Families will make memories together while enjoying a unique experience in their own city.
To take advantage of the offer, residents with a valid OX1, OX2, OX3 or OX4 postcode can simply show proof of address when purchasing their ticket in person. They will be on sale via City Sightseeing Oxford’s ticket sellers, open-top bus drivers, at the Visitor Information Point, at Gloucester Green Travel Shop or at Carfax Tower.
The famous hop-on, hop-off bus tours are the best way to see all the city’s most famous landmarks with audio commentary in 14 languages.
City Sightseeing Oxford’s Visitor Information Point on the High Street also provides information on other things to see and do in the city and wider county with timetables, maps and books, plus discounted tickets for attractions, gifts and souvenirs. The bus tour operator, which is owned by Oxford Bus Company, also delivers private group walking tours which run throughout the year.
Luke Marion, Managing Director of City Sightseeing Oxford, said: “Where possible, we like to give something back to our customers, and with many people looking to treat their mothers, it provides a great value for money way for people to enjoy Oxford for the day.”
