City Sightseeing Oxford launches special offer to help tourism industry

City Sightseeing Oxford has announced a big New Year discount to help drive the visitor economy in Oxford. 

Owned by Oxford Bus Company, City Sightseeing Oxford is offering a 20% discount on its open-top bus tours between Monday to Thursday until 16th February. The offer is designed to help boost Oxford’s visitor economy and encourage residents to visit and explore the city.

Oxford Bus Company and City Sightseeing Oxford play an integral role in Oxford’s crucial visitor economy. City Sightseeing Oxford runs the popular and award-winning open-top bus tours of the city and the Visitor Information Point in High Street, whilst Oxford Bus Company primarily operates the Travel Shop in Gloucester Green.

City Sightseeing Oxford’s fully electric one-hour open-top bus tours explore Oxford’s rich history, taking in iconic sites including Oxford Castle, Christ Church College and the Ashmolean Museum. Visitors can hop on and off any of the 20 designated stops along the route. Each bus tour package includes the option of enjoying a 45-minute walking tour.

Visitors are also encouraged to take advantage of the Oxford Bus app users exclusive discounts in and around Oxford. Oxford Bus Group has partnered with more than 20 businesses, including tourist attractions and cafes, to offer discounts to app users.

The City Sightseeing Oxford tour provides audio commentary in 14 languages, and a version for children, which includes fun quizzes, is also available.

To take advantage of the discount, all visitors need to do is produce a valid or recently expired bus travel ticket on the Oxford Bus app. The offer is valid for in-person purchases only between Monday and Thursday until 16th February 2025.
