In the summer of 1992, George Stroup, an Oxford student, opened “George & Davis” on Little Clarendon Street. His idea was to create a bright and friendly café serving natural homemade ice cream… and it worked!

The vibrant atmosphere, delicious treats and morning-till-night opening hours proved to be a hit with students and locals alike. “George & Davis” became affectionately known as “G&D’s”, and they attracted a loyal following of people who preferred “Oxford’s Own” to the more commercial ice cream eateries that arrived a few years later.

Since then, their family has expanded, and now there are two additional G&D's establishments in Oxford: "George & Danver" on St Aldates and "George & Delila" on Cowley Road. Every product is crafted by hand and transported by bicycle to each location. If you reside in Oxford, chances are you've caught sight of them pedalling by with a basket brimming with bagels!

George & Davis and George & Delilia are providing a 10% discount on purchases of £7 or more with a valid or recently expired ticket on the Oxford Bus app. Visit our app benefits page for more information.
