This family-friendly museum is located by the bus stop on Thame’s historic High Street by the bus stop and housed in the former Court House.
The main galleries narrate the history of Thame, inviting passers by learn about daily life from Saxon and Roman periods to the present. The extensive collection of exhibits, relics, oral histories, and antiquities relates to Thame life across time and narrates how life changed through time.
The museum holds workshops all year long on subjects like wine tasting, lacemaking, calligraphy, and kid-friendly craft projects. In addition to the permanent galleries, the museum also organizes a number of pop-up exhibitions with themes ranging from art and photography to well-known names in Thame.
