18th - 20th February

The Story Explorer courses offer young people aged 8-12 the opportunity to explore their creativity, with guest appearances from professional story-makers including authors, artists, musicians and drama practitioners. Sessions are led by expert Story Leaders and involve plenty of games and fun along the way. It's a great way to make new friends, try new activities and immerse yourself in the world of stories.

Sessions

Tuesday: Ancient Greece
From Atlantis to Mount Olympus, we’re going to explore all things Greek. You will jump into the depths of Atlantis and create your own worlds in den building, retelling some of the best Greek myths. In a fun draw along with artist Thiago de Moraes you will journey through the world of myth and create awesome monsters.

Wednesday: Norse Mythology
Discover Norse myths and learning stories such as how brothers Thor and Loki got along in Asgard and what Treasures for the Gods were created. Survive Ragnarök and take part in a fun Trickster drama workshop.

Thursday: British Legends
Explore tales that have come from a land not so far away – recreating the tale of how Arthur pulled the Sword from the Stone, discovering a dragon’s lair, and inventing your own myths and legends which could spread across the land! Then learn what it takes to be a great Knight in King Arthur's Knight School with Historical Lives.

Story Explorer workshops run from 10:00-16:00. These are unaccompanied workshops for ages 8-12.
