Jamie New is a sixteen-year-old who lives a council estate in Sheffield. He wants to be a drag queen and go to the school prom in a dress. However, Jamie doesn’t quite fit in with everyone at school. Surrounded by bullies Jamie must overcome the darkness and into the spotlight. He is supported by his loving mum and caring friends to overcome the prejudice.
Based on the true story of Jamie Campbell this musical is not to be missed! With an original score of catchy pop tunes by lead singer-songwriter of The Feeling, Dan Gillespie Sells and writer Tom MacRae (Doctor Who), this sparkling musical will have everybody talking about Jamie!
