BROOKESbus fares
BROOKESbus is a public service tailored for students and staff at Oxford Brookes University
The BROOKESkey, exclusively available to Oxford Brookes University students and staff, allows access to discounted travel products on our local services. The BROOKESkey is issued on the Oxford Bus app.
Applications incur a non-refundable charge of £10 and the app also contains many other great features such as journey planning, live bus tracking, timetables and tickets for other services such as coaches to Heathrow and Gatwick airports.

Time-based options
Regular travellers can save with time-based passes. These are valid for unlimited travel:
- on services 100 and U5
- between Harcourt Hill and Thornhill Park&Ride on service 400
- between Oxford City and Thornhill Park&Ride on service 280
These passes also reduce the price of a single ticket on night buses to £1 per journey (tickets beyond Thornhill Park&Ride on the N280 are not included).

Some Oxford Brookes University students are eligible for an Inclusive travel pass, offering free travel on the BROOKESbus services.
These passes are valid on services 100 and U5 and as far east as Thornhill Park&Ride on services 280 and 400.
To be eligible for an Inclusive travel pass, students must be either:

Staying in an Oxford Brookes Halls of Residence (booked through the University); or
-
Studying a full-time, Oxford Brookes University:
- Undergraduate course
- PGCE course (Post Graduate Certificate in Education)
- MArch course (Masters in Architecture)
- MArchD course (Masters in Architecture Design)
Please note: The Inclusive travel pass is only valid for one academic year. Please refer to OBU's transport webpages.
Buy on the bus
In addition to the BROOKESkey offers, Oxford Brookes University staff and students can show their valid University ID card to buy a single discounted travel fare on Oxford Bus Company or Thames Travel services within CityZone.

A single (one way) ticket on any Oxford Bus Company or Thames Travel local bus services within the CityZone. Simply show your valid Oxford Brookes photo ID card to the driver to pay the discounted fare price. |
